Five rules for a readable update trail

1. Preserve

Keep the original entry, targets, stop, invalidation, time, and update channel inspectable.

2. Append

Add a separately timestamped block. Never erase the before-state to fit a later event.

3. Name

State every changed field and distinguish a status change from general market commentary.

4. Sequence

Keep publication order visible. Do not backfill a convenient earlier timestamp.

5. Limit

Fees, spread, slippage, liquidity, latency, gaps, and venue mechanics can affect actual execution.
