📄 Reading: The Rise of Distance Learning
Distance learning, also called online learning or e-learning, has become extremely popular. Students can attend classes from anywhere using a computer or smartphone.
There are two main types: synchronous (live classes at the same time) and asynchronous (students study materials at their own pace). Many universities use a Learning Management System (LMS) such as Moodle or Google Classroom.
Advantages include flexibility, saving time and money on commuting, and access to courses from top universities. However, challenges exist too: less social interaction, the need for strong self-discipline, and possible technical problems.
Successful online learners usually create a quiet study space, follow a schedule, and actively participate in forums and video calls.
