Before a dog with changing mobility leaves the house, check the route from the bed to the door, the traction at the threshold, the fit and condition of any recommended support, and the dog's energy level.
Short, controlled sessions are easier to monitor than one long outing. Record what happened afterward and share concerning changes with the veterinary or rehabilitation team.
