Turn a target annual take-home, the billable days you expect to invoice, and a deduction figure you type into a day rate. Runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
An estimate, not tax advice. This page does not calculate Income Tax, National Insurance, VAT, student loans, or pension relief. You type the deduction yourself (a reserve for tax, costs, unpaid leave — whatever you choose). Rates, allowances, and what “take-home” means are yours to decide. Check GOV.UK income tax rates or an accountant before you quote a client.
Money you want left after the deduction below. Not a salary quote.
Days you actually bill, not calendar days. Edit this.
Your own figure. Use 0 if you only want take-home ÷ days.
Used only to show an hourly equivalent. Leave 0 to skip it.

How the estimate is worked
Annual amount to bill = target take-home + the deduction you typed.
Day rate = that total ÷ billable days.
Hourly equivalent = day rate ÷ hours per day, only if you entered hours above 0.
No tax bands, no NI, no VAT. If your deduction is wrong, the day rate is wrong.
EXP-011: Free estimator — not a tax return and not the VAT £90k tracker or the late-payment calculator. No signup. No fee. No Live store claim.
