Nothing is more annoying than printing a document and finding the text tiny in one corner or cut off at the edges. The usual cause is a mismatch between the PDF's page size and your paper: a file set to A3 or US Legal will not sit neatly on A4, no matter how good your printer is.
Checking takes seconds. Open the document properties in your PDF reader and look for the page size entry, which lists width and height for each page. If the document mixes sizes, perhaps a wide spreadsheet page among normal ones, note which pages differ so you can handle them separately.
Once you know the size, set your print options to match: choose the correct paper size, or use "fit to page" when the difference is small. Avoid "actual size" for oversized pages, since that is what clips content at the margins.
If a file needs resizing before it can be shared or printed properly, online PDF tools can adjust pages without desktop software. A thirty-second size check before printing saves paper, ink, and a second trip to the printer.
