The School Teacher Interns (STI) merit list 2026 is the district-wise list used to select candidates for STI posts in Punjab government schools. If you applied through the STI portal, you can check your merit position using your CNIC, without visiting the school in person.
Start by opening the STI Portal and finding the latest merit list update for your district. The portal publishes guidance on tentative merit, interviews and the final merit list, so check that you are looking at the list for the correct district, school and subject.
To check the list by CNIC, log in to the official STI portal with your CNIC and password. Then return to your dashboard and open the merit or application status section. Your name, CNIC, school and merit position should be shown there. After the merit stage, candidates should also watch the STI Interview List for interview dates, venues and shortlisted names.
If your name is not on the tentative list, check the spelling of your name, your CNIC digits, and whether you selected the correct district and school. Merit is prepared from academic qualifications and other criteria in the STI rules, so a lower position does not always mean an error in the form. Keep checking for the interview list and any revised or final list, and follow the notice from your district education authority for document verification dates.
Carry your original CNIC, domicile, academic certificates and attested copies to verification. Do not pay anyone who promises a guaranteed selection, because STI selection is merit-based and the application process is free.
