Turn JSON into a spreadsheet
Choose records from a JSON export, preview their fields in a table and download an Excel or CSV file.

JSON is a text format often used for data exports. Choose a file or paste its contents, then select the list of records to turn into rows. Fields inside each record become columns. A list inside a record stays in one cell; it does not create extra rows. For records inside data → items, enter /data/items; if the whole file is the list, leave the location blank. Missing fields and empty text both look blank. Keep the original JSON if you need to tell them apart or check whether a value was a number or text; the spreadsheet shows values without preserving those distinctions.

What this can and cannot do
For the synthetic example, enter /data/items to select its records. Leave this field blank for a file that starts with the record list itself, like the synthetic example in the input box. Column names show each field location using JSON Pointer paths, such as /person/name; special characters are escaped to keep different fields distinct. Missing fields are blank; null appears as the text “null”. Numbers are exported as text to keep their written digits. Choose .xlsx to keep IDs intact in Excel; .csv is a text table and protects values that could be read as formulas. Limits: 10 MB, 100,000 records and 500 columns.
