Fix subtitle timing
Move subtitles earlier or later, or correct timing that gradually slips, then download an adjusted SRT file.
Start here
Choose one spoken line near the start and another near the end. For each, enter its start time in the subtitle file and when it should start in the video. Use hours:minutes:seconds.milliseconds, such as 00:01:02.000. The prefilled times are synthetic examples; replace them with times from your subtitle file and video.
If every line is early or late by the same amount, use a single time shift. If the gap grows during the video, match two lines instead. This changes subtitle times only; it cannot fix player or video-conversion problems, or a different edit of the video. A change that puts a subtitle before the video starts is rejected rather than cutting it off.

What this can and cannot do
Use a separate SubRip (.srt) text file saved as UTF-8, up to 5 MB. ASS, VTT and subtitles stored inside a video are not supported. If subtitles match in one player but slip only after seeking in another, check that player before editing the file. Play the downloaded SRT with the same video to check the timing. The synthetic example contains two made-up spoken lines.
